Our history

Est. 1986        Established in 1986 in Geneva (Switzerland) by Dr. Serge G. Fafalen, its founder, who has registered for over 40 years with the Geneva Bar Commission, a state body which acts as the official lawyers' regulatory authority in the Canton Geneva (equivalent to the E&W Law Society or the HKSAR Law Society) and further maintained a voluntary membership with the Ordre des Avocats of Geneva (ODAGe) and the Swiss Lawyers' Federation (SAV/FSA), two private and non-compulsory associations for the lawyers' profession.

GVA 1986-2004        In its first 20 years of legal practice, in Geneva, our Law firm has acted as the Geneva office of one of the then largest Law firms in Switzerland, headquartered in Lugano (Canton Ticino) with a branch office in Zürich (Canton Zürich) and institutionnally linked with a well-known group of global financial, auditing and trust companies. It then resumed independent legal practice in 1992, catering for high net worth individuals, private clients and entrepreneurs (1993-2003).

HKSAR 2004-2026        In 2004, our Law firm went East, to China, registering right after the SARS-1 event with the Law Society of Hong Kong as the first Foreign Law Firm originating from Switzerland ; and further entered a registered Association of Law firms with Messrs. HUEN & PARTNERS, Hong Kong Solicitors, in 2006. Our two associated Law firms provide Swiss, Hong Kong, and Mainland China legal services, catering expert and bespoke services mainly to SMEs, business owners, family offices and private individuals.
